Quebec's inaugural UTMB event: wild boreal trails, rugged Laurentian terrain, and the spirit of the chasse galerie.
Boréalys Mont-Tremblant by UTMB is a brand new trail running event set in the heart of the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec. Runners tackle technical, root laden singletrack through dense boreal forest on courses from 20K to 100K, with the event drawing deep inspiration from Quebecois culture, folklore, and the legendary tale of the chasse galerie.
Launching its inaugural edition in August 2026, Boréalys Mont-Tremblant by UTMB brings the UTMB World Series to eastern Canada for the first time. The courses wind through the rugged terrain of the Laurentian Mountains, where runners navigate rocks, roots, steep climbs, and dense boreal forest under the intense summer heat of Quebec.
This is more than a race. Inspired by the legendary chasse galerie canoe tale, the event weaves Quebecois folklore into the running experience. Traditional music, storytelling, local gastronomy, and pre race rituals create a collective narrative: a pact between runners and the boreal forest. Every aid station pulses with the warmth of Quebec culture.
With distances spanning 20K, 50K, and 100K, plus an 80K relay supporting the Quebec Epilepsy Association and the Tremblant Foundation, Boréalys offers something for every level. The combination of wild, technical terrain, genuine cultural immersion, and the stunning backdrop of Mont Tremblant makes this a landmark addition to the North American trail calendar.
This event doesn't have any races yet.
