The Eiger Ultra Trail by UTMB starts in Grindelwald, at the foot of the Eiger North Face. With races from 35 km to 101 km, runners traverse Grosse Scheidegg, Bachalpsee, Faulhorn, and Schynige Platte before returning along the base of the Eiger, immersed in the grandeur of the Bernese Alps.
The Eiger Ultra Trail by UTMB celebrates everything that makes the Bernese Oberland one of the most spectacular mountain regions in the world. Starting from Grindelwald, at the foot of the iconic Eiger North Face, the event offers four distances from the E35 North Face Trail to the E101 Ultra, a 101 km odyssey with 6,700 m of elevation gain.
The routes wind through Grosse Scheidegg, the shores of Bachalpsee, the summit of Faulhorn (2,680 m), and the panoramic ridgeline of Schynige Platte. Runners traverse the Mannlichen before the defining moment: a traverse along the base of the Eiger North Face that delivers an unforgettable sense of scale and raw alpine power.
