Grampians Peaks Trail 100 Miler

AUS Halls Gap, Victoria , AUS | Nov 5, 2026

100 miles through ancient Aboriginal landscapes, where sandstone ridges, wildflower valleys and vast Australian bushland stretch to the horizon.

The Grampians Peaks Trail 100 Miler takes runners through the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park in Victoria, Australia. This point to point course follows the newly completed Grampians Peaks Trail along dramatic sandstone ridgelines, through wildflower valleys and across vast bushland in one of Australia's most sacred indigenous landscapes.

The Grampians (Gariwerd) are among Australia's most ancient and spiritually significant landscapes, home to the world's richest concentration of Aboriginal rock art. The 100 Miler follows the full length of the Grampians Peaks Trail, a world class long distance path traversing sandstone ridges, granite peaks and valleys carpeted in seasonal wildflowers. The views from the high points stretch across the Western Victorian plains to an impossibly flat horizon.

The terrain is quintessentially Australian: rocky ridge scrambles, sandy bush tracks, creek crossings and exposed plateau sections where the sun and wind are constant companions. The Grampians may not be high in altitude, but the cumulative climbing and the exposed, remote nature of the course make this a genuine test of ultrarunning endurance.

Running through Gariwerd is running through living history. The landscape is dotted with shelters where Djab Wurrung and Jardwadjali people have gathered for tens of thousands of years. This race is a privilege and a celebration of one of the world's oldest continuous cultures, set against a landscape of raw, timeless beauty.
