KAT100 by UTMB

AUT Fieberbrunn , AUT | 6 Aug - Aug 8, 2026

Austria's longest ultra trail through the legendary Kitzbühel Alps, from gentle meadows to soaring ridgelines.

The KAT100 by UTMB sends runners across the full breadth of the Kitzbühel Alps, connecting nine Tyrolean villages on a course that blends rolling grassy highlands with exposed rocky ridges. With the iconic Wildseeloder, Kitzbüheler Horn, and Jakobskreuz as waypoints, this is Austria's defining ultra trail experience.

Starting and finishing in the charming market town of Fieberbrunn in Tyrol, the KAT100 by UTMB is Austria's longest ultra trail and one of the most scenic races in the UTMB World Series. The course traverses the entire Kitzbühel Alps, linking nine villages through a landscape that shifts from soft alpine pastures to dramatic ridge crossings high above the PillerseeTal valley.

Runners pass beneath the towering Wildseeloder, climb over the Kitzbüheler Horn, and run in the shadow of the Jakobskreuz, one of the largest summit crosses in the Alps. The terrain is a masterclass in variety: lush meadows give way to rocky singletrack, forested valleys open onto panoramic ridgelines, and every descent leads to another welcoming Tyrolean village.

Multiple race distances make the event accessible to all levels, but the flagship 100 mile course with nearly 10,000 meters of climbing is the true test. This is a race where Austrian mountain culture and world class ultra running meet in the heart of the Alps.
