Oh Meu Deus by UTMB

PRT Seia , PRT | 1 May - May 3, 2026

Portugal's highest mountain range, the Serra da Estrela, where granite towers, glacial valleys and shepherd trails forge an epic challenge.

Oh Meu Deus by UTMB takes runners through the rugged Serra da Estrela, Portugal's highest mountain range. The course crosses granite plateaus, glacial valleys and ancient shepherd paths in a landscape of raw beauty where the elements rule supreme.

In the heart of Portugal, the Serra da Estrela rises to nearly 2,000 meters, a fortress of granite, wind and wild beauty. Oh Meu Deus by UTMB takes its evocative name from the natural reaction runners have when confronted with the scale and severity of this terrain. Starting from Seia, the course climbs into a landscape of glacial cirques, tower shaped rock formations and high altitude plateaus scoured by Atlantic weather systems.

The trails follow ancient paths once used by shepherds moving their flocks between seasonal pastures. Runners cross exposed highlands where the wind can be fierce, descend into protected valleys carpeted with heather and broom, and navigate rocky terrain that demands constant attention. The views from the high points stretch across the Portuguese interior, revealing a landscape that few visitors ever see.

As part of the UTMB World Series, Oh Meu Deus combines world class competition with the authentic spirit of rural Portugal. The local communities embrace the event with genuine warmth, and the post race celebrations, fueled by regional cuisine and good wine, are as memorable as the mountain itself.
