TransJeju by UTMB

KOR Jeju World Cup Stadium , KOR | 2 Oct - Oct 4, 2026

Cross the volcanic heart of Jeju Island, from subtropical coastline to the summit of Hallasan, South Korea’s highest peak and a UNESCO World Heritage wonder.

TransJeju by UTMB is the premier ultra distance trail event on Jeju Island, South Korea, drawing competitors from over 30 countries to race across this volcanic UNESCO World Heritage landscape. With distances from 20 km to 148 km, the courses traverse Hallasan National Park’s extraordinary biodiversity, from subtropical forests at sea level to subarctic terrain near the crater lake summit of Mount Hallasan.

Jeju Island, born from volcanic fire and shaped by centuries of wind and ocean, provides one of the most unique trail running backdrops in the world. TransJeju by UTMB harnesses the island’s dramatic topography to create a race experience that spans climate zones, ecosystems, and elevation in a single day. At the center of it all stands Hallasan, the highest mountain in South Korea, crowned by a crater lake that rewards those who earn the climb.

The flagship Jeju100M covers 148 kilometers with 5,000 meters of elevation gain, traversing the full breadth of the island through ancient lava forests, coastal paths, and alpine terrain. The 100K at 104 kilometers with 4,000 meters of climbing and the 60K offer similarly immersive journeys through Hallasan National Park, where over 1,800 plant species flourish across subtropical, temperate, and subarctic zones. The 20K provides an accessible gateway into this remarkable volcanic landscape.

TransJeju is more than a mountain race. It is a passage through one of the planet’s most biodiverse island ecosystems, where black lava rock meets emerald forest and the Pacific horizon stretches endlessly. For trail runners seeking something truly different, Jeju delivers.
